PSP Firmware 2.6 hacked

PSPUpdates is reporting that Fanjita has cracked the Sony PSP’s 2.6 firmware and got Tetris running via the GTA save/load game hack.

This should now open the doors for other homebrew software to be playable on firmware 2.6, something which will no doubt result in a quick firmware update from Sony to plug the hole.

for the moment though, this news is what most PSP owners have been waiting for, especially those in the UK who probably bought their Sony PSP with firmware 2.0 or 2.1 already installed.
