EuroGamer is reporting that Electronic Arts (EA) has confirmed that The Godfather will not be released on the Sony PSP and the Microsoft Xbox360 when the title is released in March.

It looks like the game will only be released on PC, PS2 and Xbox initially, with a release on the PSP and Xbox360 delayed until a later date. Reasons for the delay for the PSP version haven’t been announced, but the game has already been put back from its original 2005 release date.

Although any delay on a game release can be annoying, I’d prefer EA to delay the release of The Godfather until its happy that the finished product is up to as high a standard as possible before it hits the shelves.
