PSP Memory Cards – 4gb and 8gb

Fantastic news for PSP owners the world over, it appears we are going to be getting 4gb and 8gb memory cards sometime in 2006.

The price is yet to be announced for these Sony Memory Stick Duo cards, but I would guess they’ll be fairly expensive to begin with, although their release may impact the smaller cards currently on the market.

The release of the 8mb card means that we can now store multiple movies and a decent selection of music for the PSP instead of the tiny amount we can currently. It also puts the PSP into the iPod Nano ballpark for storage capacity.

I wonder how long it will be before Sandisk release their 4gb and 8gb cards.
