PSP Music Folder Icons
I recently downloaded a podcast from the BBC, and was surprised to see a little picture appear in the folder icon when the podcast was transferred over to my PSP. Looking at the other albums I’d got on the PSP I could see that only the podcast had an image associated with it.
This got me thinking, firstly that there was obviously a way to associate an image with the music, and secondly, how much better the menu structure looked with a little picture on the folder icon instead of the white plain folder.
So I decided that I would investigate the reasons why my music was imageless, and how to go about adding the album cover sleeve image onto the music folder.
Luckily, everybody’s favourite seach engine threw up this link – PSP Vault Add Image to Music Folder – which explains what you need to do to get the album art associated with your music and to get the PSP to display the image in the music menu on your PSP.
I followed the instructions and now have my music folders displaying the associated album cover for the music in the folder. While not entirely essential, its a nice feature and makes the PSP menu structure look more complete. Given the ease at which album covers can be found on sites such as amazon, there are no excuses for not adding album covers to your music folders on your Sony PSP.
