Rumours have it that the next Firmware version for the Sony PSP is going to include an email client. This is something that I’ve found lacking in the Sony PSP’s current abilities.

Although using the web browser to access online email functions such as Hotmail and Gmail has been ok, having an inbuilt email client that could be used to compose emails offline while not near a wi-fi point would be very useful. This would allow you to compose your thoughts anywhere, not just when you are near a hotspot.

It would be useful as well to have an official PSP notepad type application for storing notes and documents while on the move, this would, for instance, allow me to compose posts for this site while out and about and then submit them once near a wi-fi connection.
