PSP Hackers and Homebrewers – Thank You

As you may know, I’ve been spending quite some time playing homebrew games on my PSP, and the more I use the eLoader, the more stable it becomes and the more success I have with getting the homebrew applications and games to run on my PSP.

The one thing that amazes is the strength of the PSP homebrew community. Not only are there people willing to invest their time in creating software that allows us to play homebrew games on our PSP’s, but also the number of people ceating niche software applications.

I know a number of the homebrew specialists are creating software because its a challenge to them, they like the fact that they have to push themselves to create the best software they can. I’m sure some create the hacks and homebrew because it may lead to a little bit of fame, for others it may lead to job offers from software houses, and I’m sure some just decide they need a piece of software to do something and as no one else has done it, they do it themselves.

To all these people, I bow down to your dedication and ability. Without you the homebrew scene would not be what it is today.

I’d love to be able to create some homebrew myself, and I’m sure if I had the time and patience I could possibly cobble something together that at least worked, unfortunately the pressures of work and family life mean that I have to leave the trial blazing to others!
