PSP Wi-Fi Sniffer

PSP Updates has details of a new piece of pretty useful homebrew for the PSP – a Wi-Fi detection program called WiFiSniffer.

Designed to scan for Wi-Fi connections, it will constantly look for and monitor local Wi-fi connections, and tell you the SSID and speed of the connection, and whether the connection is encrypted or not.

This will prove handy to those of you on the lookout for Wi-Fi hotspots but find the standard PSP mechanism for scanning a little cumbersome and long winded.

Theres no mention on the PSP Updates site as to compatability across the various eLoader/eBoot versions, so I guess its a ‘try-it-and-see’ prospect.
