PSP Flash Experiments
Chris, over at PixelSumo has put together a page requesting some assistance in getting the PSP Flash player documented, which will allow developers to start putting together Flash games and movies that will work on the PSP.
Please head on over there and help out if you are running a PSP with the latest 2.7 firmware. Chris has yet to upgrade his PSP to this firmware version, so your assistance is much appreciated if you can help.
Here are some concerns with the player:
- can you run standalone, or does all content have to be within the browser?
- can you take button inputs?
- analogue stick?
- can you make something fullscreen?
- how fast is it?
- what size movies can it cope with?
Chris has generated some swf files to test out some of these questions, if you head over to PixelSumo you will be able download these files and help not only Chris but the PSP community as well.

Chris,
I have done some intial test loading the swf files in the browser but not saving them to the memory stick.
The files all run in full screen mode.
The file to test the mouse position works but the file to test mouse hiding does not. The mouse remains visible.
The file to test the D pad works. The block moves but the movement was a little jerky.
The file to test keyboard codes did not work. The keys did not register and still performed their usual browser functions.

If anyone wants to checkout the capabilities of the Flash player on the PSP, head over to this site:
http://www.flashdevices.net/2006/04/sony-psp-flash-player-6-supported.html
There is a semi-official list of things that the flash player will and will not support.
