I subscribe to numerous RSS feeds to ensure I get the latest PSP news as it happens. Occasionally though, these RSS feeds contain some pretty odd or downright criminal content. And sometimes they make no sense whatsoever.

Note the following two excerpts from a couple of adverts found on a UK selling website, repeated as found, and not edited in anyway by me…

Apart from the appalling lack of punctuation and correct spelling, one advert is selling a downgraded PSP with DVD’s full of backed up games, and one advert
is telling me that the White PSP is better than a Black PSP because it has more pixels.

Unfortunately its likely that these PSP’s will find new homes with unsuspecting consumers, who think that thet’ve either got a better spec PSP than they actually have, or have landed themselves with a load of pirated PSP games.

Adverts like these aren’t rare though, with a quick flick through the local Exchange and Mart turning up a few adverts for PSP’s of dubious origin. I guess wherever there are willing punters, there will be people willing to sell them the goods.

If you are looking to buy a PSP second hand though, I advise you do your research beforehand, and know what it is you buying, and most important of all, how to check that the firmware version you are buying is what you actually get.
