PSP Specific Content from ARComics

ARComics, with the recent release of Firmware 2.7 for the Sony PSP, are looking forward to a new platform to showcase their talents by making the most of the new PSP Flash player.

“We see the PSP screen size, Internet/network connectivity, commercial success and target demographic as a perfect venue to bring an entertaining means of reading to a new generation by blending technology with art and storytelling.”

For those of you who have upgraded your PSP’s firmware to 2.7, this news should indeed brighten your day. At this stage I am unsure as to how well the homebrew Flash Player will cope with any content provided by ARComics.

Once again, if you are thinking of upgrading your PSP to firmware 2.7, please be aware that you will lose the ability to use any of the homebrew software that has been written for the PSP, at least until an new exploit in the system is discovered, which may take some time.

  1. It seems to work fairly well. I ‘m sure they are working within the limits of psp memory constraints because so far their stuff doesn’t seem to crash on me like other stuff.

This is really cool though… I’d like to see more of this and it still is a comic book and not a cartoon, which I like.
