PSP Homebrew Sudoko Game

One of the most popular PSP homebrew games, Sudoko, has been updated and released by Chau Le. Details are available on DCEmu, it looks like Chau Le has been doing some refining and tweaking, including the following:

Pencil mode: press O on an empty square to start pencil mode. Use D pad to move around the square. Use shoulder triggers to enter possible numbers. Up to 4 numbers can be entered in one square. Press O again to exit pencil mode.
Best time for each level is recorded.
Can restart the game at any level, up to your best level.
Skinnable. Two skins are included but new skins can be added to the Skins folder. Use existing png files as templates.
New puzzles included. Puzzles are now symmetrical.

I’m not a huge Sudoko player, I find it takes way too long for me to solve the puzzles, but for fans of the brain bashing game, this is sure to be a big hit. I’ll download and install this game for those moments when I need a challenge and I have the time to sit and attempt to solve a puzzle.

  3. Tom, if your PSP is running firmware 2.01+ then follow this guide here :

    http://www.pspculture.co.uk/psp-eloader-and-homebrew-how-to/

You will need to download the Lua Player from here, as Sudoko uses the Lua engine.

http://www.luaplayer.org/ (Select the version for firmware 1.0 if you have 2.01+ firmware installed).

if you are running firmware 1.5 then you should be able to load the Lua Player using one of the exploits for that firmware version.

NOTE: If you are asking a PSP related question, please state your firmware version, as this will usually impact on the response you get. Please also state whether you are an experienced PSP owner or new to the PSP scene, as this will determine the level of detail in any answer I may provide. Thanks, Dave.
