PSP Vending Machine

Kahsoon has some photos and movie clips of a PSP dispensing vending machine. It also would appear to allow you to buy iPods and Gameboys.

Found in top end hotels, where bored businessmen can spend a few hours playing Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, I cannot see these vending machines making their way into your local train station and bus depot.

I wonder how many units get sold using this method. I wonder if I’m going to get my 50p back when I use a vending machine to buy a can of coke abd nothing comes out, so feeding a couple of hundred pound coins (Ok, it probably takes Visa, but hey-ho) into a vending machine and hoping that your PSP doesn’t stop short of dropping, hanging like that last big of Walkers on the wire racking, is too big a risk for me. After all, rocking the machine to get that bag of crisps to drop isn’t as risky as rocking a vending machine full of iPods and PSP’s.

Are there going to be vending machines where you can buy games without the need for going into a game shop? Could be an interesting concept.
