Those of you who played and enjoyed the first Monter Hunter Freedom will no doubt be overjoyed at the prospect of the Sony PSP getting a sequel.

MHF is the biggest selling PSP game in Japan, and mixes good old fashioned RPG gameplay with big monsters and even big weapons. I’ve played the game briefly, and though that graphically it was pretty good apart from some obvious clipping issues with supposedly solid objects, but the gameplay was a little long winded and eventually would be quite repetitive.

As with most games that manage to sell more than a handful, a sequel is now in the pipeline. There is no word on whether the second game in the Monster Hunter Freedom franchise will cater for infrastructure mode, or if it will stick to the ad-hoc version as found in the first game.
