PSP 2.71 Downgrader

The downgrader for PSP’s with firmware 2.71 is now available. This only works for PSP’s without the TA-082 motherboard. The downgrader will downdate the PSP firmware from 2.71 to 1.5.

This means that the PSP is then able to run homebrew games and applications direct from the PSP XMB interface without the need for an eLoader to be used. It also means that DevHook can be used, which emulates later firmware versions and allos UMD games to be played that require later firmware versions than the PSP is running.

All the details of the downgrader for the PSP can be found on DCEmu, where you will find further details and the software to download.
