PSP Game Ratings
Heres a list of some of the games I’ve been playing, and their current rankings in my very own hall of PSP Fame. Ratings are only my opinion at the end of the day, so don’t take them as gospel, but they do give you some idea of what I play and what I enjoy. I will expand this list as and when I get around to it, or new PSP games get my attention and a few hours of my time.

Enjoyable racing game. Difficult to master but rewarding in the long term, especially with the career mode. Typical EA game interface makes getting straight into the action very easy, but the gameplay makes this a PSP game for serious racers.
Another easy to play game from EA, Tiger Woods 2007 brings the fine art of Golf to the PSP. Not a particulary taxing game to play, although it suffers a lack of consistency in the controls, with shots seeming to fade or draw even in static conditions. Probably just me being bad at golf, or my analogue stick not being complaint enough. For anyone playing this after playing Links on the PC will no doubt feel a little disappointed, but for golfers looking for a quick fix over winter, it makes an ideal 19th hole companion.
Syphon Filter : Dark Mirror has been around for a while, and is a game I still keep coming back to. The controls aren’t particulary friendly to start with, but once you get the hang of it, a nicely driven plot line keeps the action going between locations. This is a game that really shows off some of the PSP’s capabilities. The only reason this hasn’t got a longevity of more than a month is that some players may find it a bit repetitive, and replayability isn’t that strong.
Pro Evolution Soccer 6 (PES6) is the second version of PES to come to the PSP. I loved the first one, and even being a self confessed non-footballer, it was a game I’d often turn to for the odd ten minute match. PES5, often criticised for its long load times, has been refined and improved, and the follow-up sees some of the issues of the first version resolved. Still a tough game when played on even the normal settings, PES6 rewards players who attempt to play the game like a real match, rather than like a schoolyard tussle.

not impressed with tigerwoods2007 ps2 ,I have bought tiger woods games since 2000 and it seems since 2006 game came out they should have just added some differnet courses and removed tiger vison , but they sure went down hill with putting and aiming ,I feel EA sports should have recalled them , seems they were in a hurry to get them on the shelfs by christmas .
Clyde,
Seems to be the way with all EA games at the moment – once you have bought one version, there is little incentive to buy future releases.
I’ve recently been playing World Snooker Challenge 2005 (not an EA game) and I’m put off buying the newer 2007 version because I believe it will have the same issue as the EA franchise games, in that there will be little difference between the versions.
