PSP Game – Test Drive Unlimited

One of the biggest games that I’m looking forward to is Test Drive Unlimited, a game which promises to be a car enthusiasts dream, with full online play and a choice of over 30 licensed cars.

The concept of Test Drive Unlimited is that all the action takes place online, in a world filled with other racers all looking for a bit of competitive street racing. I guess its a bit like games such as World of Warcraft, only with cars rather than dwarfs (or whatever it is that World of Warcraft has – its not a game I’ve ever played).

Hopefully Test Drive Unlimited will live upto expectations, although my very real concern is that anything that runs online requires a decent internet connection, and the potential for races to end abrutly due to lines dropping or the PSP losing its wi-fi connection may end up infuriating players.

Gamers can carry their luxurious Test Drive Unlimited lifestyle with them and play online wherever and whenever they want on the most expansive network of open roads ever realised in a video game spanning the entire tropical island paradise of Oahu, Hawaii, fully streaming with no loading times. Developer Melbourne House has packed an incredible 1000 miles of diverse, GPS mapped Hawaiian terrain, a challenging single player game and a host of unique online options onto PSP, enabling gamers to race live against opponents around the world via WiFi. Test Drive Unlimited is racing reinvented.

Test Drive Unlimited is also playable in a single player mode, although its main appeal has got to lie in the online play, which should be an enjoyable social experience, assuming there are devices in place to restrict any cheating or malicious activity from people playing the game online.
