Custom PSP Firmware 3.03-OE-B Rumours

Plenty of rumours on the internet today of the next version of the OE custom firmware by Dark_AleX.

Apparently, Dark_AleX is busy working on version 3.03OE-B, which will possibly unlock the constraint on the official PSP video player of not playing films in full 480×272 resolution.

A standard PSP will only play full resolution videos if the film is played via a UMD, films ripped from DVD to Memory Stick Pro Duo will only play at a lower resolution, meaning a loss in quality.

There have been other homebrew video playing software, but I have alwys wanted to see the standard PSP video player to be capable of playing full resolution video. Hopefully the rumour that Dark_AleX is working on unlocking this for his next release will turn out to be true.
