Great news for anyone wanting to improve the speed at which they can enter text on the PSP, a developer by the name of madruscoe has managed to hook up a keyboard from a Palm Pilot and got it working with a homebrew application on the PSP.

At the moment text entry is limited, and the software is in beta, but it looks promising. Once a custom prx is created to allow text entry anywhere, using the PSP for something like AIM or web browsing should suddenly become much easier.

This also means my prediction for a PSP keyboard in 2007 was perhaps a little too pesimistic (likelyhood: 2/10).
