Umii Custom PSP XMB Theme

If you like this theme, please Digg It!.

Heres another custom XMB theme for all you 3.03OE custom firmware users. This one is a wii inspired theme that uses some cool and soothing colours. Everything is included in the download package, simply connect to your PSP via USB in recovery mode (flash0) and copy the included RCO files over to the vsh/resource directory (backup the originals first).

Copy the wallpapers into your photo directory (from a normal USB connection within the XMB).

There are two wallpapers included, both light in colour, as these icons work best with these kind of colours.

Full credit goes to the original icon author, who’s details I cannot locate (get in touch if its you!). I took the base isons and modified to suit the PSP.

This download is only suitable for 3.03OE users, 3.10OE users cannot use the custom topmenu_plugin file.

As always, use at your own risk. Modifying the flash0 on your PSP may result in a brick, and I can’t be held responsible!

Note: These files can be used with the RCO Icon Editor to make your own icons, or used as-is on your PSP.

i love ur theme…it goes soo well with my white psp…

question tho…in ur screenshot with the first wallpaper, your font stands out so much more than mine….are u using a different font?

my font just blends with the background…so i’m using ur grey wallpaper atm…

  13. Hey. Looks awesome… but I can’t get it to work… it bricks my psp everytime actually. =o

    But I have 3.10 OE-A so it doesn’t matter =]

I’m wondering if I’m putting it in the wrong folder… what one should it go in?

  15. Me again… done some sleuthing and found out two of the three files are ok.

It’s topmenu_plugin.rco which is causing the problems.

  16. ljpdonnelly on March 27th, 2007 at 5:03 pm
  17. Yes, if you are on 3.10OE then you cannot use the topmenu_plugin.rco file, hence the line in the article above -

This download is only suitable for 3.03OE users, 3.10OE users cannot use the custom topmenu_plugin file.

    :D

  19. hello guys. i just find out this website, i do understand everything but except the part you said you have to connect your psp to pc via usb cable in recovery mode which this bit gets me a bit confusing.
what do u mean by recovery mode or how you do it because i only found out abouth this kind of stuff.
    thank you
    cheers

  21. ali, recovery mode is a nice addition that you get if you are using Dark_AleX’s custom firmwares 3.03OE / 3.10OE. To enter the recovery mode you need to hard reset your PSP and the turn it on while holding the right trigger (Shoulder) button in. You then get a menu that allows you to connect your PSP to your PC and actually view/chnage the PSP’s internal flash memory.

  31. question since im veerry new to this … which folder do i put the files at? and uhh, will it work for 3.51 ?!

  32. dee on October 27th, 2007 at 2:59 am
  33. dee, only works on custom firmware 3.03oe. You would need to downgrade using the Pandora battery to firmware 1.5, and then up to a custom firmware version.

  34. Dave on October 27th, 2007 at 12:19 pm
  35. i tried to put it on….and i accidently deleted all of the folders that were there…now when i turn on my psp the screen is black and it turns off a couple seconds later…..what can i do?

  36. rafi on June 24th, 2008 at 5:06 am
  37. rafi, you need to restore your system using the Pandora battery – unless you backed up your files beforehand.
