PSP XMB Theme – Duranium R2 Nemesis

Ok, so I said the Black and White theme would be my last. Well, I lied. This is the revised Duranium theme I have been working on, codenamed “Nemesis”.

This is an adaption of my original Duranium theme, with some nice customised icons that have taken quite a bit of work to get right. I’ve put all the icons into a single graphic so you can see them all in one shot. The icons are 32bit with a drop shadow that is semi-transparent, so your background image shows through slightly.

Duranium R2 Nemesis XMB Theme - all icons

Normal warning applies, this theme should be used on PSP’s with firmware 3.03OE only, firmware 3.10OE will get a brick from installing the topmenu_plugin.rco.

Download here : Duranium R2 Nemesis. Please read the included readme file. This is made available for your own use and cannot be repackaged and redistributed, either on its own or as part of another ‘theme’.
Download here : 3.30OE and 3.40OE version

Install by conecting your PSP to your PC in recovery mode and copying the .rco file into the vsh/resource directory. Font is the .pgf file and needs to be copied into the font directory. This release only includes the icons, the battery and volume have yet to be completed, so are not included in the package.

Backup your original files first, I cannot be held responsible for you getting it wrong and bricking your PSP.

  7. VXP – try reinstalling, you shouldn’t have any icons missing. If there is still a problem, try freeingup some space on flash0 (there are a few articles on QJ.net explaining what and how).

    Wallpaper – Here

    Cheers

    Thanks man!

  13. After having some missing icons myself I finally managed to install it like this:
    1) Back up the files to be replaced (on your Mac/PC).
    2) Delete the files to be replaced on your PSP.
    3) Make sure they are not hanging around in any Trash/Recycle Bin by emptying your trash.
    4) Finally copy the new files onto your PSP.

This worked for me using 3.03 OE-C

Thanks again for the great icons.

    Charlie.

  15. Charlie, great to hear that you’ve got a solution for the missing icons issue. Not sure why this actually happens, maybe some difference between PSP hardware and/or PC/Mac software/OS.

    Glad you like the icons.

  17. DUDE, Senor, you rock! I love this stuff! BUT, only one thing missing its your fonts. I need them.

keep up the great creative iniration, thingy

  18. ZenoGia on March 20th, 2007 at 2:02 am
  19. Zenogia, the font is included in the pack. Its the ltn0.pgf file and should be copied into the font directory on your PSP’s flash0 (not into the vsh/resource directory).

    Cheers
    Dave

  27. Dcrockett05,
dont panic, just simply check to make sure u hav 303 oe-c the fully shut down ur psp. hold r and turn it back on. go to advanced and activate flash0. then copy the topmenu to vsh/resource/ for the icons. theres no need to back up and all tht unless ur psp wont recognise ur icons and even then i would use outa-space to free up some memory space not some crazy copy back and over thing. if u need anymore help ask someone else or goto forums.qj.net and pm me, my name is Da_MerV.

  28. Da_MerV on April 7th, 2007 at 6:57 am
  29. Dcrockett05, Da_MerV is pretty much spot on, you just need to boot up your PSP in recovery mode (remember, these icons only work with the custom firmware 3.03OE [Open Edition] by Dark_Alex), connect to the flash0 (advanced menu option) and then copy the files into vsh/resource (apart from the font (ltn0.pgf) that goes in the font directory.

  30. Dave on April 7th, 2007 at 7:33 pm
  31. Thank You For The Great Work And The Tutorials
    I’ve Got a scoop For You :
ALL THE CUSTOMS THINGS ARE WORKING FOR DEVHOOK TOO NOT ONLY FOR CUSTOM FIRMWARES !!!!! ( Don’t Use Automatic Flashers Just Save Your Olds Files Before Overwriting Them )
    (Folder : Root/dh/303*/F0/vsh/resource)
303* Depends Of Your Ripped Firmwares.
    HAVE FUN………….

  33. how do you get it back to the normal sony background if you prefer it
    ??? cheers

  34. lloyd on April 13th, 2007 at 2:10 pm
  35. Lloyd, go to Theme Settings on your PSP and where it says ‘Use wallpaper’ switch it to No. Should revert back to the plain Sony backgrounds with XMB wave.

  37. Ver, very nice! I just don’t know how to put it onto my PSP!! Help, anyone?

  38. This guy on April 13th, 2007 at 11:36 pm
  39. so i went to the link where it tells you how to put the themes on how to install… but i cant get the script to work – it says that it failed every time i double-click on the “start.cmd”

  40. This guy on April 14th, 2007 at 12:07 am
  41. This Guy,

You need to connect your PSP to your PC via recovery mode (hard reset PSP and then reboot while holding the right trigger button down).

Note this is only available for users of custom firmware 3.03OE (And as of this morning, 3.30OE). Standard Sony firmwares cannot use these themes.

Once in recovery mode you need to use the advanced > Flash0 connection and copy the rco files into vsh/resource. The font (pgf file) goes into the font directory.

Make sure you back up your original files first.

  42. Dave on April 16th, 2007 at 8:39 am
  43. Thank you Dave…the only thing that I am confused about is the last part. What are Flash0 and the rco files…and what is “vsh/resource?” Also the “font directory?” Sorry…I am new and do not know what these terms are…

  48. MG on April 22nd, 2007 at 1:35 pm
  49. Install by conecting your PSP to your PC in recovery mode and copying the .rco file into the vsh/resource directory. Font is the .pgf file and needs to be copied into the font directory.

In other words, boot up your PSP after a hard reset holding the right shoulder button in to enter recovery mode. Select advanced and then the USB connect (FLASH0) option.

    copy files as described.

  73. I’ve just upgraded to 3.40-OE and this theme is sweet, hope someone posts how to get it working on this fw. Not actually tried myself yet, will wait to see a success post.

    Thanks

  75. For those of you having trouble with 3.40OE and the themes, make sure you get the 3.40OE version :
    £.40OE themes

Themes that are stated they are for 3.30OE should be fine on 3.40OE.
