Top 100 Software Sales in Japan, First Half of Year
MaxConsole have published the Top 100 Japanese software sales for the first half of 2007. And in the number one spot, with 1,231,624 sales, is Monster Hunter Portable 2nd, for the PSP.
Unfortunately, although the PSP has taken the top spot with MHF2nd, its the only appearance of a PSP game in the top 20 games. In fact the next PSP game in the list appears way down at 28, with Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions, with sales of only 282,770.
Having quicly scanned down the list, I can only see around 8 titles from the Sony PSP making the top 100, which is depressing when compared to the number of Nintendo DS titles in the list. The DS takes 6 of the top 10 places, which just shows how successful the DS is.
The top ten is quoted below, for the rest, pop over to the Maxconsole website.
1. (PSP, Capcom) Monster Hunter Portable 2nd – 1,231,624
