For the last couple of weeks I’ve been away, and have made use of the holiday to get some gameplay time in on my PSP. I picked up Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 (an Electronic Arts Game) prior to going away, thinking I’d practice my golfing skills on the latest version of the Tiger Woods golfing franchise.

While the 08 version of this game feels polished (like most EA games) it also has that minor flaw of not being enormously different to the 07 version. Its only when you play both the 07 and 08 versions back-to-back that you really notice the differences in how the game plays. Personal preference after a week or so of playing is that the 08 version is a little better than the 07 version, but you need to be a keen player of the previous version to want to upgrade to the latest version.

While I was away I also got some road time in on Test Drive Unlimited, still one of my favourite PSP games. I had no wi-fi access, so I had to play the game as stand alone, but it did allow me to concentrate on completing more of the challenges. I’m still only around 40% complete on the game, and I’ve played it far more than any other game on the PSP.

I did take a few other games with me, but I didn’t really get stuck into them, so Monster Hunter Freedom 2 and Metal Gear Solid are both going to have to wait for a little more free time to arrive.
