News is coming in that Sony are pulling the plug on a 4GB PSP-3000 bundle, replacing it with a Piano Black bundle instead.
The reasons for this are unclear, but it looks like Amazon are withdrawing pre-orders for the third generation PSP and the 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo.

Its getting to that time of year again, when people are either asking you what you want for Christmas, or you need to buy something for that PSP owner in your life.
I’ve listed here 5 things that would make an ideal present for anyone who is into their PSP. Heck, its a list of 5 things I’d quite like myself. Prices range from the cheap to the not so cheap, but even the new PSP-300 retailing at £140 seems like a good deal to me, given that I paid nearer £200 for my PSP two years ago.
1. PSP-3000 with Fifa09

Featuring a new LCD screen that has 5 times the contrast ratio compared with the PSP-2000, a built in microphone, and an improved AV output for better refresh rates on the TV, the new PSP-3000 under the tree this Christmas would make any PSP owner happy. Especially if they are still using their PSP-1000 (PSP fat).
