New Official Sony Blog Site Opens
Sony have finally got round to creating a weblog site, which can found at the following location: blog.us.playstation.
PlayStation.Blog is a bit of work in progress, we see it as a place where we can share with you our company’s collective insights, opinions and perspectives on all things related to SCEA, PlayStation and the industry we play in.
I think you’ll agree that it sounds promising - I doubt it will be an open mike for the employees of Sony, but it may just drip feed some small pieces of information to those of us interested.
At the moment, we’re thinking about sharing all sorts of things here, ranging from product news and title announcements to developer updates and industry opinion posts – all of which will come straight from the people here inside SCEA who are working, thinking and playing with this stuff everyday.
Now this does sound good - actual developer updates and industry opinion posts might just open the door to a reasonable discussion on the direction the Sony PSP is going in, and their thoughts on the multitude of homebrew titles that are available for it.
Now, what we’ve learned, perhaps the hard way, is that a blog like this is really about you and the things you want to hear, share and discuss with us. With that in mind, you’ll notice that comments are enabled – and encouraged – so tell us what you want to see here and we’ll do our best to make it happen. And yes, like most blogs, we have a comment policy, please just keep this in mind when you’re leaving a comment.
Not sure how long the comments will stay open on the site - these things can seem like a good idea to begin with, but soon get swamped with a high volume of abusive or spam comments, especially when its a high profile company such as Sony. So, make the most of the opportunity and get over there to ask some questions about the future of the PSP, as well as giving Sony some feedback on what you want in the future.
