A nine-year-old girl had her PlayStation Portable (PSP) snatched in Great Hollands, Bracknell, yesterday by a man who kicked her and ran off.

The youngster and her friend were walking near the shops in Ringmead, in the Green Hill area, at about midday.

They were approached from behind by a man who snatched the PSP and kicked the child in the leg.She was left shaken but unhurt.

The man is white, aged 16 to 18, 5ft 7in, and medium build. He has a tanned, clear complexion and was wearing a white Reebok hooded top with dark blue lining, dark blue Reebok jogging bottoms and white Reebok trainers.

So, if you are from the area and know of someone who has suddenly got a second hand PSP in the last couple of days, and you suspect they may have aquired it in an illegal manner, do the right thing and call Crimestoppers.

And if you are out on the street, make sure you don’t flaunt your PSP around - its small and light enough to be taken from you and pocketed by a thief, and the element of surprise will possibly leave you defenceless and unable to do anything about it.
