PSP XMB Theme - Duranium R3 Blue

I have recoloured the Duranium R2 Nemesis XMB theme in blue, to fit in with a battery graphic created by Innercy over at QJ.net.

The main icons haven’t changed since the last Duranium release, but they have now got a completely blue tint to fit in with the blue theme for this XMB icon set.

The download includes the battery, volume and icon graphics.

Normal warning applies, this theme should be used on PSP’s with firmware 3.03OE only, firmware 3.10OE will get a brick from installing the topmenu_plugin.rco.

Download here : Duranium R3 Blue. Please read the included readme file. This is made available for your own use and cannot be repackaged and redistributed, either on its own or as part of another ‘theme’.

Install by conecting your PSP to your PC in recovery mode and copying the .rco file into the vsh/resource directory. Font is the .pgf file and needs to be copied into the font directory. This release only includes the icons, the battery and volume have yet to be completed, so are not included in the package.

Backup your original files first, I cannot be held responsible for you getting it wrong and bricking your PSP.

The wallpaper used in the above is this one:

Simply right-click and save-as. Copy into the photos directory on your PSP and then ’set-as’ wallpaper via the context menu.

You can download the battery and volume graphics on their own : Blue and Black Volume and Battery.

There is also a red version of the battey and volume graphics (seen below).

The red version can be downloaded here : Red and Black Volume and Battery.

Feedback welcome.

great theme once agen…yesterday i was customizing da xmd n i and i bricked my psp doing so. but i fixed using da recovery menu. now 1.5 fw is installed but when i install 3.03oe-c or 3.10oe da psp doesn’t boot up ne more. wat do i hav to do to fix?

  2. Simon, not sure whats happened there. When you say you bricked your PSP, you mean semi-bricked, as in you could get back to the recovery menu? If so, you would have been better just replacing the vsh/resource directory on flash0 with your backed up originals.

Anyway, hindsights always great. In your case, I’m not sure what the issue is, have you tried going to 3.03OE-A first to see if that works? There may be some software to clean your 1.5 install before installing 3.03OE.

were do i put the files on my psp tp make the theme work plz help my. i have version 3.30 plz help me

  5. Game freak, 3.30 users cannot use these custom themes. Only PSP owners with a custom firmware (3.03OE and from this morning, 3.30OE).

You will have to wait for a downgrader to become available before you can use custom themes.
